I'm beginning to believe our only way to survive Covid-19 as a country is to remove tRump from office. Unfortunately before that can happen thousands and thousands more will die. Many more will suffer.
Let's "keep our eyes on the prize" tho'. All the outrageous BS spewing from tRumps yap is about distracting from the miserable job he's done on Covid-19, his tanking approval numbers and the economy that's shot to hell.

Demands for The Boy Prince to Resign Over 'Staggering' Level of 'Depravity' That Put Politics Before Public Health
"Holy hell. Jared Kushner reportedly abandoned a national testing plan because it was *politically advantageous* to sit back and let blue states be eviscerated by the virus."

https://www.commondreams.org/news/20...-public-health

Staggering level of corruption.

'Orange Shitstain' is no where near a vile enough moniker for this President and his maladministration.

Coronavirus threat rises across U.S.: ‘We just have to assume the monster is everywhere’

https://www.washingtonpost.com/healt...2ab_story.html

Quote:
The coronavirus is spreading at dangerous levels across much of the United States, and public health experts are demanding a dramatic reset in the national response, one that recognizes that the crisis is intensifying and that current piecemeal strategies aren’t working.

This is a new phase of the pandemic, one no longer built around local or regional clusters and hot spots. It comes at an unnerving moment in which the economy suffered its worst collapse since the Great Depression, schools are rapidly canceling plans for in-person instruction and Congress has failed to pass a new emergency relief package. President* Trump continues to promote fringe science, the daily death toll keeps climbing and the human cost of the virus in America has just passed 150,000 lives.

“Unlike many countries in the world, the United States is not currently on course to get control of this epidemic. It’s time to reset,” declared a report released last week by Johns Hopkins University.
...while our idiot resident ignorant Trumpkins are just fine with the worthless piecemeal strategies...

"On food stamps, for example, Republicans added $20 billion for agribusinesses but nothing for greater food stamp benefits in their $1-trillion proposal unveiled on Monday. Meadows played a role in killing an increase in food aid during talks on the $2-trillion relief bill in March.

“Traditionally we’ve had a partnership between farms and families, and they’ve consistently broken that,” said Sen. Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, the top Democrat on the Senate Agriculture Committee." LA Times

Despicable Trumpublicans dole out corporate welfare to the tune of $20 billion for big agri-businesses but not a sou for struggling families and seniors.

November can't come soon enough. Toss these GOP grifters out on their ears.

'How scientists revived an old-school treatment for a 21st century pandemic'

"A few weeks after the new coronavirus arrived on U.S. shores, Dr. Arturo Casadevall hatched a plan to beat back the outbreak with a medical advance so powerful it had earned a Nobel Prize.

In 1901.

That’s when Dr. Emil Adolf von Behring was honored for pioneering the use of so-called convalescent serum as a treatment for diphtheria. In 1892, the Prussian bacteriologist infected horses with the pathogen that causes the deadly disease. If the beasts recovered, Von Behring harvested their blood, removed its red blood cells and clotting proteins, and introduced the resulting antibody-rich fluid into the bloodstreams of human diphtheria patients." LA Times

Wow!

U.S. Small Business Bailout Money Flowed to Chinese-Owned Companies
Millions of dollars of Paycheck Protection Program loans went to China-backed businesses in critical sectors, a study found.

SMH. Still, it’s likely far more went to Donny’s family and friends. Your tax dollars at work...

How the Pandemic Defeated America
A virus has brought the world’s most powerful country to its knees.

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine...ailure/614191/

Quote:
Since the pandemic began, I have spoken with more than 100 experts in a variety of fields. I’ve learned that almost everything that went wrong with America’s response to the pandemic was predictable and preventable. A sluggish response by a government denuded of expertise allowed the coronavirus to gain a foothold. Chronic underfunding of public health neutered the nation’s ability to prevent the pathogen’s spread. A bloated, inefficient health-care system left hospitals ill-prepared for the ensuing wave of sickness. Racist policies that have endured since the days of colonization and slavery left Indigenous and Black Americans especially vulnerable to COVID‑19. The decades-long process of shredding the nation’s social safety net forced millions of essential workers in low-paying jobs to risk their life for their livelihood. The same social-media platforms that sowed partisanship and misinformation during the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Africa and the 2016 U.S. election became vectors for conspiracy theories during the 2020 pandemic.
...and Trumpkin morons, here and especially on the big social media platforms, believe and virulently spread the Big Lies of this most corrupt administration...
