Floriduh racks up new CoVid patients. Just brilliant, Gov. 'Dipshit' DeSantis...smh.

"Days after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) waved off concerns about a growing coronavirus outbreak, the state Tuesday tallied its highest single-day count of new cases at 2,783, according to data tracked by The Washington Post.

Totals for Florida’s seven-day average of new cases have hit record highs for the past nine days; a week ago, the state’s one-day total of new cases was 1,096. The average of hospitalizations is up as well, and Florida is reporting a U.S.-high 55 deaths on Tuesday, up from seven on Monday.
The state’s infection totals have steadily grown since the start of June, roughly two weeks after its “full phase-one” reopening plan began." WP

An Onion piece describes COVID policy now as phases of 'pretending the virus has gone away.'

Pence's job is to co-sign every lie that falls out of tRump's mouth. Next you'll hear that there were no new cases from tRump's Covid rally.

'Dipshit' DeSantis says the rise in deaths is because of the rise in testing. Sounds logical except New York is doing increased testing but their numbers are going down. 2610 more in Florida bite the dust.

US stockpile stuck with 63 million doses of hydroxychloroquine

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/17/healt...ile/index.html

Quote:

The government started stockpiling donated hydroxychloroquine in late March, after President* Trump touted it as "very encouraging" and "very powerful" and a "game-changer."

But Monday, the FDA revoked its emergency use authorization to use the drug to treat Covid-19, saying there was "no reason to believe" the drug was effective against the virus, and that it increased the risk of side effects, including heart problems.
Doh! At least the FDA understands Donny’s a moron, but all those with a legitimate need for the drug have been unable to get it. More lawsuits against this idiotic administration coming...

So the question is will Tweety ignore this action, instead fighting the release of John Bolton's book or is there an incoming tweet-storm and a move to abolish the FDA?

Warren wants to know why Pence rejected U.S. goods in COVID fight
Former Democratic presidential candidate says the decision to decline American manufacturing help "likely contributed" to shortages and spread of the disease.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/pol...covid-n1231449

Quote:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Thursday that the Trump administration's failure to prioritize American manufacturing during the initial stages of its COVID-19 response "likely contributed" to the "ongoing spread of the disease."

In a letter sent Thursday to Vice President Mike Pence, and reported first by NBC News, Warren and Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., say they want more information about the administration's efforts to acquire goods to respond to the coronavirus crisis. Specifically, they want to know why the administration turned down a January offer from Texas-based Prestige Ameritech to ramp up mask-making capacity.
Corruption? Incompetence? Afraid of a tweet from Donny?

In countries keeping the coronavirus at bay, experts watch U.S. case numbers with alarm

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...rs-with-alarm/

We are living a Kafkaesque nightmare so long as this absurdly incompetent administration is in power. It must end.
