Today we learn the the Trump administration has aborted the CDC effort to issue detailed safety guidelines for re-opening the economy. This corrupt negation of essential government services is, again, symptomatic of a failed state.

What we are experiencing is quite possibly a failed administration, not a failed state. Your last paragraph serves as an example.

Almost every important company there is tied into the government, must adhere to the government plan, and is/was extensively subsidized. The US was playing easy until it took a good look at China 2025.
