An Idiot Savant Without the Savant

As much of a disaster that tRump's reign has been had he handled the Coronavirus outbreak properly he had a chance to come out looking like a hero. Had he listened to the advice of the experts in these things and showed leadership by getting ahead of the situation he would have come out smelling like a rose and thus been a shoo-in for re-election. Instead, first and foremost tRump looked at it as a danger to his re-election hopes. A true leader would have rallied his people and led us through the challenge. Instead of reassuring people he tried to gaslight them. Instead of someone who knows how to manage a crisis we have a fool who's trying to manage events he deems dangerous to his presidency. An idiot who has TV personalities and relatives as consultants instead of experts in the field. In usual tRump fashion he tried to bullshit his way through. Bullshit will only get you so far. You can't fool all of the people all of the time.

'That's just not true.' GOP Gov. Hogan contradicts Trump claim that testing problems are fixed

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ue/5093609002/

Quote:
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, a Republican, said Tuesday on NPR's Morning Edition that President Donald Trump was incorrect in saying coronavirus testing problems had been resolved.

"Yeah, that's just not true. I mean I know that they've taken some steps to create new tests, but they're not actually produced and distributed out to the states." Hogan said, when host Rachel Martin asked him about Trump's assertions. "No state has enough testing."

You are therefore on a tangent to the rest of us, who are focused on what current management should do now, as opposed to what they have been doing, since intelligence on the current pandemic became available.

A president unfit for a pandemic
Much of the suffering and death coming was preventable. The president* has blood on his hands.

While the spread of the novel coronavirus has been aggressive around the world, much of the profound impact it will have here in the United States was preventable. As the American public braces itself for the worst of this crisis, it’s worth remembering that the reach of the virus here is not attributable to an act of God or a foreign invasion, but a colossal failure of leadership.
...and a "state media" more than willing to lie about it to its idiot viewership. Lawsuits are a'coming...

White House Economists Warned in 2019 a Pandemic Could Devastate America
A study published last fall went unheeded. One of its authors now says economic shutdowns to fight the coronavirus could last up to eight months.

Pence seeks to blame CDC and China for any delay in US coronavirus response -- not Donny's initial failure to face reality

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/01/polit...rus/index.html

Right, Pence. History will be the judge. Donny will go down in the history as the worst fake president, ever. If there's any justice, he'll serve life behind bars.

He just wouldn't go as far as Roosevelt.
That was his downfall.

Trump only seems to change his rhetoric when he sees his election chances threatened, which was clearly evident at yesterday's Covid-19 briefing.
However he won't open up the enrollment to the Obamacare exchanges to help people get insurance, many of whom voted for him. Plus he lies so often you can't believe anything he says.

If I was Trump I would ask China to send immune Covid-19 health care workers to NYC because they are veterans who have fought this disease, know what they are doing and have the right protective gear.

Today he is trying to deflect his imcompetence with a war on drugs dog and pony show that no one gives a damn about right now.
That is something he will never do. Trump just looks at other people like a child looking at a busy ant hill. He can't imagine being one of the ants.

Stephen Schwartz @AtomicAnalyst
When the next pandemic occurs (and make no mistake, it will) and the federal government is unable to respond in a coordinated and effective fashion to protect the lives of US citizens and others, this decision by John Bolton and Donald Trump will be why.

Top White House official in charge of pandemic response exits abruptly

Donny and Bolton, not China, are 100% to blame for this mess. This could have been prevented.
