I think we should start a movement to ban bullets.

Sophistry. What you're saying is that if everyone owned a gun, there would be no crime. That's an absurd notion.
On the other hand, you can't make the argument that making the individual possession of unregistered, unlicensed guns makes it impossible for individuals to obtain an unregistered, unlicensed gun.

That's pretty much exactly what Wayne LaPierre says every time he makes a speech, including yesterday.

Happy to talk about guns. But would rather talk about how to REALISTICALLY prevent kids from becoming targets at school.
|
So we prevent kids in school from getting killed, but how about kids in malls and movie theaters to name a couple. Unless you believe that kids in schools are any more special than others.
I know the pictures can be powerful on TV.
Trust me, if this keeps up, people will begin to live in fortresses like Quebec City.

Making ammo accountable may be an approach, taxing and registration has been proposed.

Magazine capacity of 5 rounds would be a start. You can't have more than three rounds in your shotgun when hunting game birds (and they're flying). If you can't hit a threatening assailant with five rounds, you have no business owning or discharging a firearm in the first place. Hell, I've gotten to the point that I don't deer hunt with a modern firearm at all. If using a firearm to deer hunt at all, I use a muzzleloader - the kind the Founding Fathers were addressing in the Second Amendment. I like the idea of one well-placed shot, as opposed to the spray-and-pray ethos of those who hunt with autoloaders.

Exactly my point! More guns will not make anyone safer.

If I was king everybody passing a mental and background check then doing all registration licensing testing to an all 50 state federal level of any and all transaction would be able to own a weapon. No assault type at all and with limited to mags of not over seven rounds.

Fashion house Gucci gave $500K to the Gun control march.
And the NRA is making it even harder on the GOP to pass any legislation.
Hertz and Avis is ending their relationship with NRA.
