As far as the article goes..... Every time I have seen Melanie on TV... Her participation looks so forced and she looks unhappy. I have no way of knowing if she is as unhappy as she looks, but the article did make the leap to possible bullying at home.

The fact that she fits the profile of a bullied wife and he fits the profile of a bully gives one the impression the article could be on to something.

I believe Melanie is a victim of psychological abuse and deserves our sympathy, not any level of derision. Both her decision to wear a 'pussy bow' blouse to the debate, and her choice of a 'special concern' cause, strike me as passive aggression against her abuser.

I rather find it offensive that such a woman will soon be first "lady". But then I find gold diggers offensive, male or female.
