Give every state one instead of two and allocate the remaining 50 based on population. It would still be over representing the small states, but not as much as now.

I'd recommend reading what Robert Sherman had to say about this.

They would remain statewide offices.

Kinda hard to gerrymander a statewide office.

In fact, now that you mention it, maybe house seats should be statewide too.

House members are tied to legislative districts in order to assure that the interests of voters in sections of each state are adequately represented. Statewide seats in for the House would erase that "local voice".

The number of House seats is set by public law and could be changed if Congress decided to pass a new law changing the size of the House. Legislative districts are "gerrymandered" under public law as well. So, the solution would be to change the law and create guidelines for redistricting that remove the politics from the process. Obviously, bipartisan support would be required for this, which is why it may never happen.

Then the gerrymandering has to be fixed.

Never said the number of house seats needs to be changed. It doesn't.

Not interested in hearing excuses for perpetuating a fucked up system.

Hillary Clinton's Popular Vote Lead Now Exceeds 2.5 Million!

http://cookpolitical.com/story/10174

So the national polls weren't that far off after all.

RCP had her lead at about 3% going in to the election.

So they only missed it by one point.

She had enough votes to win.

They just weren't distributed right.

So here's what needs to happen.

Before next election a couple of million Hillarybots need to move from California to the rust belt.

I suggest that Bob and Ice start packing now.

Interestingly enough 'gerrymander' was named after one of the authors of the Constitution.

So why did you move out?

Got tired of being thrown under the bus by the Democrats?
