I don't see any particular reason for anybody to care what liberal Democrats think for the next two years, and probably the foreseeable future.

The moron Harry Reid and his nuclear option pretty much took care of that.

Sound familiar?

Here, ponder that as you watch the Trumpjugen sing the praises of their Fuhrer.
Hitler's promise was to right the wrongs of Versailles. Not even close to Trump's make America great again campaign slogan.

I hope I can interpret this as a promise not to bother commenting on what we think for two years.

The Nazis tried many slogans. The general spirit is often comparable. One shouldn't put too much weight on the presence or absence of exact words.

That said, found a poster with some interesting text:
Quote:
“Open the door to freedom! Put a strong man at the helm! Out of the swamp! Forward with the powers of renewal!
It's poster #38 on this page: http://www.bytwerk.com/gpa/posters1.htm

Not a very artistic effort, I'm afraid....

He actually did use the words "Make Germany Great Again" on a number of occasions. Here's an English translation of a 1940 speech by Hitler.

The German humiliation at Versailles and scapegoating a group as traitors who brought about the German defeat are light years away from our perceived fall from greatness. Trump's make American great again slogan was a riff on Reagan.

For both, it was all about making their bases feel humiliated and resentful and finding a convenient scapegoat to rally against with Trump/Hitler selling himself as the only person who could fix it. It may be a matter of degree, but it is clearly the same strategy.

Not commenting on your moronic beliefs and caring about them are two different things.

Works both ways. We are on the same page. Our beliefs appear to correspond perfectly. Indeed, I think total mutuality of feeing has been achieved!
