The biggest winners in this election were Moscow and Beijing, thanks to the party who never fails to wrap itself in the American flag.

MOSCOW — Russian government officials had contacts with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team, a senior Russian diplomat said Thursday, in a disclosure that could reopen scrutiny over the Kremlin’s role in the president-elect’s bitter race against Hillary Clinton.

So, all of these flag-waving, America-first "patriots" put a feckin' Manchurian Candidate in the White House? Sad.
Very interesting revelations in that story.

Crooked Trump's people took the meetings, while Hillary properly avoided foreign influence:

Quote:
Speaking to Bloomberg News, ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said staff of Russia’s embassy in the United States met with members of Trump’s campaign — meetings she described as “normal practice.” Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign refused similar requests for meetings, she told the agency.
But this is the really telling bit in the reporting:

Quote:
His son, Donald Trump Jr., said in 2008 that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets,” adding that “we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”

Why are you doing Trump defense now? According to your self-justifying narrative, aren't you supposed to pivot now, and start building a progressive 'revolution' in reaction to Trump?

I disagree.

The biggest winners of this election are the American people, who finally rose up and gave a giant middle finger to the corrupt establishments of both political parties.

Power to the People!

And this nugget:

Sergei Markov, a pro-Kremlin political analyst, was jubilant at the result and said a Trump presidency would make it more likely the US would agree with Russia on Syria, where the two powers back different sides and Moscow has intervened decisively on behalf of the president, Bashar al-Assad.

Markov also said it would mean less American backing for “the terroristic junta in Ukraine”. He denied allegations of Russian interference in the election, but said “maybe we helped a bit with WikiLeaks.”

At least backing Syria provides an end game should ISIS be defeated. And it's time we pulled our military out of Europe.

Two different sources doing 'reveals?' I think this is the Kremlin's first tug on the chain to Trump.

But Putin's approval rate is higher than Obama's Finnbow.
The scary thing is when Trump says it he is not being sarcastic.

that's the man with the finger on the football

Just like Dubya's Iraq War inadvertently empowered Iran, Trump's election did the same for Russia and China.
