Fresh veggies, the zuchinni are coming in like mad and the cukes are not far behind. Tomatoes and Bell poeppers a bit slower.
He didn't say he did it willingly but I have mostly given up on martinis, yet I do love a good dry martini, 'specially in our 10 ounce martini glasses. So it is scotch or sour mash.

I am more of a shot and beer guy, but don't tell any of my liberal friends!

Ever do the boiler maker thing, where you drop the shot, glass and all into the mug-o-beer? I never tried that one, because I never could stand the taste of beer. A nice light colored Canadian blend though...........................

In the factory bars I used to go to a boilermaker was a shot and a beer side by side. Knock back the whiskey and chase it with the beer.

I can relate to that. Due to the fact that I've been a drinking buddy with my old schoolmates, of whom several became LEO's here in Buggtussell, I've pretty much ridden in "Lancelot's Armor". Hell, we were mean little Boy Scouts together. Now were mean old fat guys together.
And I've even pushed my association with my betters to the breaking point. Then again, as I've been told, "It's not like you beat up the local minister." Or, "I gotta admire you, you crazy bastard." Nothing that I would care to make a habit of, but, if the shoe fits...
If I'd have pulled half the stunts I've pulled here anywhere else, they'd still be pumping daylight to me. Then again, I've pulled some pretty good stunts in places where they didn't know who I was...just managed to "get my ass out of Dodge" before they found out who I was.
Now I'm old, and somewhat respectable, donate money to good causes, etc, etc. But people who know me are still cautious about getting too close to my perimeter.
And I've had the pleasure of retiring to a few drunk tanks, last one in Houston TX, but it's been about 35 yrs ago.

"Moonshine, moonshine, to quench the Devil's thirst. The law they swore they'd get 'em, but the Devil got 'em first."
IMHO, one of the finest movies to ever come out of Hollywood. Just picked up on it for the 2nd or 3rd time last week. Wish I could find the soundtrack, but it ain't out there.
Can't wait until "Milk" comes out, I need to purge my fat assed system. Just watched "Grand Torieno" last week, and Mr. Eastwood seems to be about the only movie maker in Hollyweird who can make a decent flick. Still think his movie about the woman boxer was his finest work.
Just a passing thought...tell me I'm an idiot..been called worse.

"Blazin' right thru Knoxville, out on Kingston Pike, then right outside of Bearden, there they made the fatal strike..." That's about where West Town Mall is now. That side of Knoxville just KEEPS growin' & growin', in a few years, they'll be arguing w/Chattanooga over city limit rights...

Before my divorce I used to have a few barley sandwiches for lunch. There was this crazy Englishman I used to meet each day at lunch, he would order a shot of scotch and a beer. I hope it was cheap scotch because he would toss it back then drink the beer.

Always amazed me how the Brits managed to rule the world, the whole time being on their asses from either scotch or gin.
Lord help us if the Muzzie's ever take to drinkin'.
