Hillary is running scared.

A top aide to Hillary Clinton's campaign on Monday dodged questions about setting up a debate with Bernie Sanders in New York, saying it depends on the senator's "tone."

"This is a man who said he'd never run a negative ad ever. He's now running them. They're planning to run more," Joel Benenson, Clinton's chief strategist, said on CNN. "Let's see the tone of the campaign he wants to run before we get to any other questions."

"Sen. Sanders doesn't get to decide when we debate, particularly when he's running a very negative campaign against us," he continued.

"Let's see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then we'll talk about debates," Benenson added.
These comments make the Clinton camp look a little ridiculous, not to mention obnoxiously entitled. Yes Hillary, we know how you feel about a "contentious debate."

Making the absurd accusation that Bernie is running a negative campaign is not the way to win over Sanders supporters.

The Clinton campaign, in both 2008 and in this one, has projected an image of entitlement. It hurt them immeasurably in 2008 and appears to be beginning to hurt them now. I think they need to re-calibrate significantly and immediately.

Quite right, they/she needs to earn the nomination.
I'd still vote for her if it comes to that, I'd rather see the two Republican frontrunners stone cold dead than in the WH for the sake of this Country.

Well I say to Benenson "good job," because his silly comments have inspired me to send even more money to Bernie.

New Gallup poll shows Hillary supporters are more enthusiastic than Sanders supporters?
