I think it's over Cruz's citizenship.

Personally I think Cruz should have been disqualified for that "Voting Violation" mailer he sent out.

That was IMO voter intimidation.

I've also seen talk to the effect that certain members of his campaign told caucus goers that Carson had dropped out and that they then encouraged Carson supporters to move to Cruz. I don't know if that is true, but if it is I would consider that a very serious violation worthy of disqualification too.

He should be barred from the next (NH) primary akin to a court sanction, though the label of a cheater should hound him for the rest of the primaries. At the very least he has alienated Carson's supporters and that's at around 10%.

I did a little more reading on the Cruz/Carson thing and I gotta say, what the Cruz staffers did was downright sleazy.

I agree with this. Ted Cruz is going to get his ass handed to him next Tuesday.

I think Trump will retake the lead and Rubio will emerge as the establishments anti-Trump.

We'll see.

The more that comes out about this, the more it stinks.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The controversy between two Republican presidential candidates is escalating.

Ben Carson's campaign released voicemails from Sen. Ted Cruz's campaign saying Carson was suspending his campaign.

Conservative news website Breitbart published two voicemails that were allegedly left for a precinct captain on the night of the Iowa Caucuses.

The caller goes on to ask precinct chairs to spread the word at caucus locations and urged them to tell Carson supporters to side with Ted Cruz’s campaign.

The first voicemail came from a woman with a phone number out of Galveston, Texas, just seven minutes after the Iowa Caucuses started at 7 p.m.

“[inaudible]…from the Ted Cruz campaign, calling to get to a precinct captain, and it has just been announced that Ben Carson is taking a leave of absence from the campaign trail, so it is very important that you tell any Ben Carson voters that for tonight, uh, that they not waste a vote on Ben Carson, and vote for Ted Cruz. He is taking a leave of absence from his campaign. All right? Thank you. Bye.”

The second voicemail was left at 7:29 p.m. form an Iowa phone number. Breitbart News says it traced the number to a Cruz campaign volunteer hotline.

“Hello, this is the Cruz campaign with breaking news. Dr. Ben Carson will be suspending campaigning following tonight`s caucuses. Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted instead. Thank you. Good night.”

I wonder whether there's a way for the RNC to force the release of Cruz' delegates.

And, if there is, will they do it?

Look Teddy was not born on U.S. soil so he is a naturalized citizen - just like me - and is not eligible to be POTUS any more than I am
