More wealth - more scumminess to keep control. And don't be so quick to take credit, they've cycled through GOP control too.
Here they've just busted the top guys paying other guys to run against them as Republicans.
The poor unwashed masses keep voting in the Dems anyway. Against all evidence, they think the Dems care about them.

well to be fair the GOP has proved they don't care. This is why I don;t understand these poor teabaggers supporting policies that support the ruling class. Go figure.

I have no illusions about whether many of the people in Congress give a rat's ass about me, but past experience has taught me that the Republicans will not only be busy lining their own pockets, they will have both hands in mine as well.

Don't live in the city, don't ever want to live in a city.

I am the opposite. When I retire I will move back to a city. That's what makes the world go round I suppose.

I've decided that I like both city and country living. Life in the midst of sprawling suburbs is what I find most unattractive. Currently I live in a rural setting with easy access to two big cities. It's a nice combo.

Grew up in the country. I've lived in the city since 1986. Don't think I could ever go back. Everything I need is within walking distance. Except my job, which is out in the country. I also like the cultural diversity in the city. My home town is, well, 98.7% one color. To me this is a total bore, and annoying as hell to listen to those sheltered hicks talk trash about people they know absolutely nothing about. Ignorant as a day is long. But, they're happy there, and I'm happy here. I guess that is as it should be.

Yeah, I like the way my brother has it worked out. He lives in Manhattan during the week, and about 100 miles northeast in a hundred forty year old farmhouse on the weekends. I grew up in the 'burbs, raised my kids in the 'burbs and am about 10 years from paying off my house. Don't figure I'll be moving.
Regards,
D-Ray
