Man shoots down drone over his house

And is arrested.. I personally think if you fly a drone over someones house you deserve it to be shot down and then arrested for trespassing.

I agree.

Between these 15-18 foot Pythons and these drones, I'm beginning to think I need to get a shotgun.

Legally, your rights against invading drones seem to be quite limited, oddly enough. Property rights rule. See https://www.yahoo.com/tech/theres-a-...546065994.html

You don't want to be caught shooting down a drone. One of a number of ideas that occurs to me is attacking the drone with a garden hose. Hitting it with a hose would make a prima face case that the drone was too low, and would probably encourage the operator to fly away quickly, since it would both fuck up his view of things, and threaten damage to his precious machine....

I was just talking out my ass about the shotgun.

I live in a subdivision inside the city limits.

I don't anticipate any problems with drones or 15 foot snakes.

The biggest wildlife I've seen in the yard was a small tortoise maybe 8 inches long. I don't bother it and it doesn't bother me.

Had the guy on local TV. Seems his daughter and friends were sun bathing in the back yard. Girls were upset, dad shoots it down. Guys show up saying the drone was $1800 and wanted to be paid back. Showed them his .40 IIRC on the hip.

Cops did come and take him away. Can't shoot off a gun in the city. But was home in time to be interviewed by the local Fox affiliate .
