Even with Citizens United on their side, money bags like Koch Bros., Soros or Adelson cannot influence elections at the national level imo. They can and never could control the internet.
But at the state level, anything is possible. Term limits and outlaw gerrymandering to level the field.

Another scary reading.
The Americans are coming! Some in a Texas county fear an Obama-led U.S. military invasion.

I don't think that's entirely true. Thanks to our electoral college system in a close election you can use your monetary advantage to micro-target one or two close swing states. I'd like to see the electoral college done away with.

I agree that gerrymandering needs to go. But I don't like term limits. If you get someone good in there, you should be able to keep them.

Pat Roberts and Dick Lugar anyone? I will add Feinstein to the list too though she may actually have a home here. No wonder the youth in this country are disengaged.
BTW, I do agree with the last minute electoral manipulation. But with the advent of social media, TV and print influence may be waning.

I like Di Fi .
I think term limits is wrongheaded and counter to the will of the voters but that's just my dos centavos.

Tip O'Neal said all politics is local and I agree. If the Koch bros want to come here to MD and try and tell us how to vote screw 'em - but we will take their money.
