If any one of the liberals on this forum condones the killing of two policemen in the line of duty, you are sadly mistaken. If you were to consider this an act of revenge (in fact you would), you are even further off the deep end. All revenge begets is more revenge and nothing is ever solved. How is Israel doing with their systematic revenge policy? None of us here would want that.

The intent of your post was to elicit the reaction you are getting, "see what happened", and there is an implied message here. If you want to be self righteous, go ahead. Just be careful that this self righteous does not make you stink.

It should be pointed out that, in your OP and subsequently, you've expressed no sympathy for these two police either. Instead, you've callously attempted to use their tragic deaths as a cudgel to beat "lubruls" with in order to advance your own narrative and politics.

That's both despicable and predictable.

So was your post suggesting that I somehow had "glee" about the death of the officers. So please spare me your faux indignation.

Then you're ignoring it, probably on purpose. And it should also be pointed out that you haven't.

Show me then. You said words to the effect that cops, generally, have a tough and dangerous job. You did not, however, spare a thought for the two specific cops in your link when you wrote your OP. This is all you said, every word.

"Cops have a bitch of a job. Not only do they have to face the prospect of getting shot when doing a routine part of their job, but then they get to listen to the media, and some wonderful folks like you, second guess them and call them every name in the book.

Hope this is a reminder of what some folks do to keep some of you safe so you can sit comfortably in your homes and hate them for it."

You were all about trashing anyone who criticizes cops without sparing so much as a word for the victims.

In a subsequent post, you mentioned the age of one of the cops, presumably to make the point that he was "too young to die".

I don't need to lie, and I also don't need to do your homework for you. Here's one. You have go find the other examples.

I saw it. Pretty tepid, merely referring to a tragedy and only in the context of wrongly criticizing the rest of us for a lack of sympathy (which you also called "tragic").

And anyway, DRay beat you to it in post #22. (I said so too, but only after your accusation so I guess I was just covering my ass.)

And if you're going to engage in infantile insults, at least try to find one that might actually possess a semblance of applicability to the target.

How is it my homework to support your claims?

Fine, one case of Tom Joad doing his hyperbolic thing. You need more than one guy to support the claim of "plenty," or your general assertion that we all "hate" cops.

I shouldn't have said "all". I've encountered a handful of cops that have behaved decently to me. And another handful that were assholes. I'd say my anecdotal experience is 50% decent and professional and 50% assholes.

Which when you consider that I am a conservative looking white dude who tries to obey the law at all times, does not speak well for cops in general.

I have no idea of what it is like for young black dudes but I strongly suspect it's a lot different than it is for me.
