Anecdotal.

And another rule my dad had in his department. Any death from a wreck, suicide, murder, etc had to be told to the family in person. No phone calling was allowed as he wanted an officer there to make sure a parent had help if they had a heart attack or became frantic over hearing of their loss.

When does a series of anecdotes become irrefutable evidence of a state of affairs, Pat?

I'm not denying the prevalence of police brutality, yet I do believe that each incident stands or falls on its own merits and is hence anecdotal. For example, I believe that the cop in Ferguson was innocent, but also believe that the Baltimore cops are likely guilty.
In other words, before I'm willing to jump to any broader conclusions, I'd rather use adjudicated cases as my statistical basis, not any knee-jerk assumptions as to what went down on cases where investigations and subsequent legal proceedings aren't complete.

What if it was the cops that had done the murdering?
