I absolutely agree.

Bow Hunting is an extremely inhumane way to kill a Deer.

A true sportsman does tries to minimize suffering to the animal.

If you are going to kill a deer you should be doing it with one clean shot from a high powered rifle with a scope like the .308 that Robert De Niro used in the movie the Deer Hunter.

This merely implies you don't know shit about bows.

They can be highly accurate and, in many circumstances, more immediately fatal than any bullet. (Mass and speed relationships do amazing things.) The hard part is getting to that shot.

Anybody can "hunt" with a rifle.

Like the average...or even the highly above average...American bungalow bill bowhunter is gonna take the time to learn how to effectively hunt with a bow. Of course the hard part is getting to the point where you can make the shot, and very few are going to take the time.

Anybody can hunt with a rifle? Sure anybody asshole can hunt with a rifle, shoot a deer in the hindquartes, say "fuck it" and go home for six-pack of Bud.

How many times harder is it to get to the point where one can make that shot with a bow compared with their Remington Model 7. How many bungalow bills are even gonna take the time to do that?
