It would appear that this nurse is being stalked by the media.
Has the state assigned a trooper to protect her or if not this, why? Or is the state also hounding her?

Here's a piece that pretty much corresponds to my feelings on the doings of Ms. Hickox. In short, she deserves our praise and not our criticism.

While I think this scare of contracting ebloa is utter nonsense. For one the family living with the only fatality in the USA never came down with the disease.
I feel also that with the possibility even ever so slight care needs to taken. This nurse seems to be taking precautions and should be left alone. For she knows Ebola better then 99.99% of us. But if she were to decide to go into a Mall or a movie theater with a fever take a plane trip now that would be another thing completely.
The potential infection of a disease no matter if it is from a nurse returning from commendable work or from a child who's parents refused a vaccine is a public concern. So if it is shown that the source of an outbreak is from a selfish act by either then financial and legal responsibility need apply. That's all.

The first time they get a reading above normal, they seek specific care. Besser does not believe that automatic quarantining of health care workers in this country is necessary.
I thought the law in this country was that one could not be detained without cause. There is absolutely no cause to detain Hickox. Politics would be the only reason to detain Hickox, and I don't believe that constitutes any legitimate cause.

Certain childhood diseases that were thought to have been obliterated in this country are re-occurring. I don't see any parents who refused to vaccinate their children being quarantined.

The definition of quarantine is detention of person who have been exposed to an infectious disease, in isolation from the general populace, to see if they come down with it. It's not a penalty for irresponsible parents.
Ebola fits the definition of a quarantinable disease if anything ever did. The health guys don't want it now because it's generally health guys who would be quarantined. Were it to become more widespread they'd see the use of it quick enough.

Show me where you got your definition of "quarantine." Every one of us is exposed to an infectious disease nearly every day of our lives.

Should a person with professional knowledge of firearms be allowed to go around pointing guns at folks, so long as they are not loaded?

WTF does that have to do with it?
Are you suggesting that we should quarantine all gun owners?

Squirrel?
Menacing with a firearm, loaded or not, is a crime already.
