If someone who knows they have AIDs transmits it, isn't it considered murder?

I realize this lady has a point, but I also think she may be acting a little like a twit.

I agree that this is a 'submit thou to the proper authority' situation. People are too prone to denial, and rationalizing what they want to do.

Let's not let any science get in the way of this shall we?

The proper authority being two noted epidemiologists Gov.'Poop Pants' LePage and Chris Christie?

The CDC recommendations are being followed in Kaci Hickox's case.

The problem is that LePage is very worried about his re election prospects and wants to appear like a tough guy.

Add Gov. Cuomo to the list so it's not all one sided. He is up for reelection too and Ebola happens to be a convenient schtick for distancing from Obama.

Big difference between knowing you have it and being at risk. That being said, I don't think I would be getting near her after building up sweat on a bike ride.

Should the precautions for all communicable diseases be the same? Knowingly having AIDS and spreading it through sex is a bit different than being non-symptomatic (and thereby non-infectious) and taking a bike ride.

She's doing a public service by getting more people on TV to talk about the actual risk of doing what she's doing (zero) to fight the misinformation-fueled hysteria and political pandering to the fearful.
