I noted that the video statement from Hamas regarding the latest round of rocket attacks on civilians in Israel, found the Hamas representative wearing a mask. It's great to know that your legitimate democratically elected governmental representative is uncomfortable going on the TeeVee and showing his mug to the world. Just like the Isis representative who hacked off James Foley's head.

Yep...Hamas is Isis is Al-Qaeda is Hamas.

I'd speculate that his mask is being used to keep Israel from identifying him and targeting his house as has occurred several times in the past couple of days to other Hamas military figures. Our Delta Force and Seal Team guys also conceal their identities for much the same reason (to protect their families).

In contrast to Al Qaeda and ISIS, Hamas does indeed have legitimate grievances despite their loathsome and self-defeating tactics. Sharing tactics doesn't automatically render groups identical. If so, the US government would be the same as the Japanese Imperial Army for their use of waterboarding.

However, if continuing to conflate ISIS and Hamas makes you feel better about Israel's tactics in Gaza, have at it.

Here are the remnants on T.E. Lawrence's house at Wadi Rum in southern Jordan. Wadi Rum is an awesome place with a reputation for having the most beautiful desert scenery in the world. We camped out with Bedouins in the desert there for a couple of days. My wife says that her days in Petra and Wadi Rum were the most fun couple of days in her entire life.
