Same here. And I once had my identity stolen. By the time Navy Federal caught it, some pervert in England had run up $1,400 at an "adult novelty shop" in London. The bank made my account whole again, so I really didn't lose anything. And, I still don't worry about it. At least someone got to have naughty fun with my money

Maybe it's paranoid. I know people who can't go to bed without unplugging every appliance in the house for fear of fire, so everything is relative I suppose.
To me, a bit of inconvenience is worth it, gives me peace of mind.
Maybe that's why I like vintage electronics. I know no one but me controls it.

To me no inconvenience is worth being a paranoid spasmodic. IMHO, the very state of said paranoid spasmosis is anti-peace of mind in itself. Heck, I've driven off to work and left the front door standing open. If you saw where I live, and spent a Saturday night listening to the sirens and gunshots, you'd shit yourself at the thought of that. To me it's just another day in the life.
But, to each his own. Hide behind the penguins with your guns in Alaska with masking tape over your webcam if that's what spins your wheels. I get a perverse charge out of wondering if the NSA is watching me watch internet porn. LOL!

If nothing puts an end to their nosiness, THAT will.
