I bought a couple of Kottke's LP's after 6&12 and listened to them a few times...I haven't been able listen to my original 6&12 LP for years due to the wear from playing it hundreds of times on my old piece 'o shit Dual TT (before I knew anything about TT's). After the first exposure to The Driving of the Year Nail...everything else was pretty anti-climactic for me. But, as DonQ suggested, that's just me. Anyway...now it's all digital 6&12, all the time.

Y'know...the solo is great, no doubt. But the instrumental lead-in to the solo...jezuz!!! When I first heard it on Wheels, I couldn't believe it...and I happened to listen to it a couple of weeks ago and I'm still not over it. Chills up and down my spine.

Picked up the self-titled Rufus Wainwright at the thrift today. It's interesting so far, but sounds a bit like Jeff Buckley Lite. It is definitely interesting enough for more than one listen.

A great choice. Levon's been dead now for two years. May I suggest Electric Dirt?
