I always remembered the truant officer...in this clip he is played by a guy named Mikey Daniels who at the time of the shoot (1933) he was only about 19 years old....he died in 1970 of cirrhosis of the liver in a seedy San Diego hotel.

You should be visiting the said lady more often then.
I have a 1200 Mkii that's sitting unused, missing a head shell.

She's been my boss for the last 15+ years or so. We keep her 87 year old mom buttered up with homebaked goodies on a regular basis. Fresh blueberry pie and classic spongecake ensures my continued employment. I've even converted them to the Democratic party.

I do now. Cool rollercoaster there at Venice Beach. It was probably gone by the time I was born. We hung out at P.O.P. and Cabrillo Beach back in the day.

What speakers are you using, John?
I switch around with Cerwin Vega R 26s, Cerwin Vega E312s, and Klipsch 3.5s. This is in a very small room (12' x 16'). I can achieve significant SPLs when I feel the need!

The Mcintosh gear and the CV R 26s have been with me since the early 70s. I've kind of got a "thing" for them.

I had some VS-15's for a few years...plenty of bass, mids lacked sparkle, and you could forget about ever hearing a cymbal.

All and all they were pleasant enough, but the KG-4's I had were a better speaker. They exhibited more "presence", for a lack of a better word. And nearly the same amount of bass. Still a little weak on the top end.
