HRT Music Streamer II is a great choice. I had the original, sold it on BT and now have a JDS Objective DAC. IMO better than sound cards and is portable. My ODAC is smaller than a pocket saver. Both cost around the same.
I also have the Schiit Modi which is well.....

on the old BSR 1400 ...BPC linear table but it sounds ok
I have not thrown the Santanas in the fireplace ...yet.

Speaking of TT's, just got home with a new to me SL1650 with a Shure M95ED on it. Same lady that turned me on to a pair of Altec 604E's.
