She and George live one way Trayvon and Jeantel live another way. Ya think maybe she did not identify with Trayvon?

It's simple, to her, someone from her clan killed someone from another clan and that's ok even though the guy from her clan (admittedly) did not act responsibly.

Ok.... I've read this whole thread, participated in it, watched Anderson Cooper's interviews, heard the politicians, read about it on the Internet, in the paper, and discussed it at the water cooker at work... I've been saturated with who done what and what if he had only.....

But, how do we make all this discussion really meaningful? How do we make it right?

If Trayvon was targeted because of the color of his skin, his age, or whatever...
If Zimmerman's need/right to carry a weapon trumps the life of a child...

Where ever you want to place the blame for this tragedy.... How do we fix it?

SYG laws need to be uprooted and burned. They only encourage and embolden the fearful among us. Common law (duty to retreat) served us well for centuries until the marketing arm of the NRA (ALEC) started writing state law for the benefit of the gun manufacturers.

I am dead serious although, about not going to send another nickle to Florida for anything and boycott that state as much as humanly possible until they come to grips with their civil, voter's, and women's rights abuses.

I wonder if Zimmerman will collect from a news media? I heard on the tv news that the 911 call was edited to make it sound racist, then they played the one that was aired, followed by the original un-edited call to prove what the media did to hype it up. Shit, I quit following the mess. Only way I could trust what really happened is to have been an eye witness to the whole thing.
