Man this shit is getting old.
You can't set up shop and make your own Glock, Ed.

As for the OP, I suppose he also supports legalizing crystal meth, as it is also possible to make it at home.
Nope. I'm not among the liberal crowd looking to legalize drugs, Finn.

What are you saying?

Anyone can set up shop and make metal guns. All the BATF had on David Koresh was that he had a lathe. We were supposed to be afraid of that, too.

Be afraid of lathes.
Be afraid of 3D modeling machines.
Be afraid of airplanes.
Be afraid of public gatherings.
Be afraid of Muslims.
Be afraid, be afraid, be afraid.

It's all Nietzschean bullshit coming out of the neocons. Their theory is that fear makes people work harder. Now they are probably on Wall Street monitoring web traffic to see who has the best defense against 3D modeling machines so they can cash in on the idea before they take the company public and dump the stupid crap on blue collar workers' 401k fund managers.

I'm sick of the f*ckers.

I bet they picked on Koresh because of his religion. Same with the way they are using the Bible Belt to further their agenda. Same with the way they are trying to paint the Amish in bad light with stupid TV shows like Breaking Amish. Same with the way they tricked the US military to further their agenda in the Middle East.

Amish? Really? What did the Amish ever do to anyone?

If the neocons think they will ever get another vote from me they have another thing coming. They can take their media, their TV cameras, their Ferraris, their whatever, and shove it.

From your OP:

You'll need the right equipment and materials, but I think this fully demonstrates the folly of regulating / banning things, especially things that a would prompt a healthy black market to spring to life.

How is that any different from crystal meth? FWIW, kids have been able to build zip guns for decades now. Should we just let them buy pistols now without age limits or background checks? Your logic (or lack thereof) is pretty damned wobbly, Whell.

For that matter, the Boston bombers were able to build and detonate homemade bombs. I suppose Whell's logic would also call for now allowing dynamite and hand grenades to be sold in sporting goods stores without background checks. Feckin' brilliant.
