What the hell?!? Why is this even a question anymore?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/nation...y.html?hpid=z2

Federal judge orders the "morning after pill" be made available to any woman who wants it, over the counter.

It's still a question because we still have religious freaks among us who think they are going to burn in hell if they help pay for contraception. They would rather force the woman into a position where she has to choose abortion, which they also oppose, or having the baby, which they will bitch about if they find out the kid and his mother is receiving any form of public assistance.

I think they're just fairytale believing as..................

To self; "Oh, Dave. Go put the headphones back on and chill out."

I hear you, Dave. I'm glad that this judge came right out and said that this issue has been political football for too long. FDA issued a 'no comment' in response. DOJ will issue an opinion, soon.

All this drug does, is to prevent implantation of a potentially fertilized ova. Somehow there are some who equate this with an abortion. It's simply a form of contraception, similar to the pill.

And, if up for adoption, 650. a month for 18 years of government money for foster care.

And then there are the costs to society in adulthood....
Quote:
According to national statistics provided by Arrow, 40 to 50 percent of those children will never complete high school. Sixty-six percent of them will be homeless, go to jail or die within one year of leaving the foster care system at 18.

Arrow also said 80 percent of the prison population once was in foster care, and that girls in foster care are 600 percent more likely than the general population to become pregnant before the age of 21

Haw! Try swallowing an extra large prophylactic before you start drinking, Jack.
