Hey, Hey. Keep that up and we will have to confiscate your puns.

(I assume that the big grin smiley is appropriate in this instance.)

So then there will be those who will say of the laws enacted, "See it didn't stop the violence!" So in the end shootings will continue to occur until it will be so bad. Then and only then will it shut up the gun lobby and the NRA. The round up of guns will begin and at that time, there will be those who decide to go out in Charleston Heston fashion.

Or, the NRA could just be more reasonable help come up with ideas that do not lead to confiscation.................................

But, apparently, that's asking too much. They'd rather have it the hard way.

So, long as they are in your hands, no. Once you've sold them to a someone you know nothing about, or had them stolen from you.....................

Why don't you get that?

Dave

Unless you've gotten your grimey little hands on something that'll go sub orbital, I'm just a little out of your range Was. Try a professional projectionist next time, bud.

It's the laws of physics. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The gun lobby continues to push back harder and harder against even the most minute regulation of firearms. Their only answer is buy more guns. At some point, the people will become so tired of senseless deaths that they will react to wipe out all of the intransigence and get the guns out of circulation.

Regards,

D-Ray

I make no bones about the fact that I'd like to see a mandatory buyback of all existing weapons, accessories and ammunition that would be covered under the proposed legislation. In other words, don't just ban future sales while allowing the millions of combat weapons, hi-cap magazines and frangible or AP rounds already in private hands to remain in private hands. I would also make the punishment for non-compliance, to quote Joe Biden, a "big fucking deal". No slaps on the wrist for that BS.

Do I think it will happen? Sadly, no. Our politicians are still too craven to take so bold and necessary a step, even though a slight majority of the people would support it.

As for weapons not covered by the ban, hand guns and long guns truly intended for hunting or sport, they should be unrestricted but those guns and their owners should be registered with the federal government in a database accessible by law enforcement at every level in the US. Proof of being a registered gun owner should be required for any firearm or ammunition purchase.

Last time that I check there were no members of congress here on this board. We do have a few fart smellers.

No one is saying take away all of the guns, BS. Not even the soshulist president. a+b <c>, it may end up that way but only if responsible gun owners won't help to deal with this problem.

It would only become so, (And I hope it never does.) if your side doesn't start being helpful towards finding a solution rather than a hinderence. This is NOT a "game". This is real world. And it's high time that writing was put on the wall for YOU to read.

Are you really so thick, you can't see that?

Thankfully, there are some gun owners who are beginning to see the light. What are you waiting for?

Regards,
Dave
