The Rich, The Job Creators V Workers

USA Today's list of the top ten CEO's in the USA 2012

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/...ssion/2503199/

10th place earned a little over $214 a second for a 40hr work week 52 weeks last year and number one $481 a second. If they were taxed at 90% they would still be well off.

Now I have nothing against a lucky or successful person. But why is it a Basketball/Baseball player can negotiate with team owners for a share of the profits. No big uproar taking the owners side. Even CEO's and company officers have contracts regarding pay and benefits.

But let the average workers at a company try and get better pay. The all hell will break loose. Just try and get WMart to pay their employees enough to get off food stamps and you'd think the world was ending.

Just a rant while I'm cooling off drinking a beer listening to the radio surfing the net. It's hot outside today.

hey....we all should feel lucky to get the 2% offered.

I was recently reading about a CEO who "Took a stand" against the greedy union. It seems that the greedy union was wanting a 3% annual raise per year of the contract. The CEO said "we gave them 3% a year in the last contract. see how greedy they are wanting it every year in this contract"

Of course this caring and compassionate man's compensation package is public record being a publicly traded Corporation. Turns out he was making in the area of $1.4 to $1.7 million annually and was not willing to take a cut himself. All the time the company is losing the huge, long term contracts it had to the main competitor. The same one that signed the unions contract without batting an eye.......

These folks are really taking a stand for their clients by making sure they guy that buys their clients products does not make a fair wage so he can buy the products......

Mind control, brainwashing, manipulation..........whatever you want to call it.

We have been conditioned to believe that if someone at the top wants to demand more from the people at the bottom, that it's always "necessary", "for their own good". But, if the folks at the bottom pull together and demand more from those at the top that it's "theft", they are "stealing" from someone who has "earned his money".

Really? When someone needs to impress his boss with better numbers and the only way this person can think of to acheive this is to bump up employee contributions for some benefit, heathcare or whatever, maybe cut the starting pay for new hires, or hours for existing employees simply to avoid paying for benefits, basically just taking from those below him to please those above him.....that's not theft? Why no, Silly! We're told it's "innovation" and that we'll all be better off just keeping our mouths shut and going along like good little Christian Patriots. (Except when it comes to the evil Democratically elected government, of course. You know, the one that taxes businesses, regulates industry and has in the past, supported those dastardly Marxist unions....)

Don't worry about how your employer treats you, the "Lord" has your back. Life on this planet is all about suffering, sacrifice and serving others. Why your reward is in heaven, Sunshine. So, just smile and render whatever is asked of you. Everything will be just fine.

(Oh, my friends, when the masses finally wake up to the game, it's gonna be ugly. You can bet on that.)

The facts don't lie if one wishes to see. Ever since the job creators have been blessed with lower tax rates the average workers have lost out. Since Reagan lowered the top tax rate in the 80's look no more retirements just a 401K. Which was never to be a stand alone plan for retirement but a supplement for hi earners. Company match HA! Healthcare is now ever more an employee burden. Goes on and on.

CEO of UPS makes his millions but give a pay raise to the worker bee's!!! OMG no they need a cut because of the economy or something else they think will fool the masses.

Now, using this here intrawebz thing a guy could put together a national or global strike by workers.

Just think an entire internets union. What would Mr Big be able to do if none of the worker bees showed up.......that would be a lot of fun

But, that's just it, Barney. They have. And, I don't believe they're really fooling everyone, they just have us by the nuts and people are frightened of long term unemployment. However, just like everything else, there will be a watershed moment. They can't help themselves, they're avaricious and greedy. They'll keep testing the dam until it breaks. When will that day come? Hell if I know.
