Vigilantism is insane, IMHO. We can't have every amateur, neighborhood wannabe cop with a gun empowered to play judge, jury and executioner.
And as I see it, Floridas "Stand your Ground" law encourages this very behavior. If you take someones life, you should have to prove it was necessary. If it wasn't------off to jail you go.
