But we can't really ignore him. He has a significant influence on what the Republican party advocates. I don't think their congressional leaders became cheerleaders for failure without a little coaching from behind the mike.

Not to change the subject, but...
Sure they are, liberal, that is. When Bush was in the chair the media was all to happy to report/hammer him about price of gas/oil, all the stuff about his big oil buddies as why wasn't he doing more to reduce the price of gas, stories of all the people that were having to decide between buying food or gas.
Now, according to the President, he can't do anything about the price of oil/gas and surprise, just have to suck it up. The media seems just fine with that sort of answer now.
