This always shocks me how folks know nothing about the Fed. I remember raising my hand in Gov't class way back when I was 18 when the teacher asked if their were any topics we would like to discuss, I said "the Federal Reserve" and he said, "this is the wrong class for that discussion".
We've never really been free of the Crown or the Europeans. Interesting that we let foreigners dictate what our paper money is worth and most have no clue about it.
