I had my .44 mag super blackhawk SS 10.5" out for laser porting and it tamed the muzzle jump noticeably. An extra good thing when shooting through a scope. Made the sumbeech loud though, especially for the shooter. Between the porting and a set of large rubber pachmayr grips, it turned out to be a pretty good hunter out to 40yds, maybe 50.
