Let me take that back, I do understand hate.
Unless someone gives you a specific reason to hate them, hate is merely a symptom of taking yourself too seriously.

Stuff like that is why we missed you around here.
It's funny how we can take on stereotypes or prejudice without even knowing we are doing it. I remember it being common to hear someone describing the result of negotiations by saying he "Jewed" the other person down on the price, often without even understanding the slur behind the expression.
