This is natural especially if one comes from countries like Mexico. The green grocers here (Brooklyn Ny) had Mexicans and others from Central America working outside in winter for stretches of 12 to 14 hours. This is criminal but the hispanics do not seem to mind. The Quatemalians will accept worse conditions than the Mexicans.
Students use to get part time and holiday work in a particular restaurant nearby. No more! Recently I saw a wanted sign in Spanish on the door of said business. " Se necesita trabajador"
Often in such establishment they work the illegals for long hours and take away their tips.
