And, the Tea Party is once again amassing in DC, as I type, to protest in favor of the Ryan budget plan. Another friend of mine was stuck in traffic for two hours on his way to work this morning because of it. Bus loads of people from as far away as Iowa.

I don't doubt that for a minute, but rational Americans (i.e., those outside the Tea Party and Fox/Talk Radio universe) see through this charade (I hope). The trouble is that H.L. Mencken's axiom comes into play:
"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."
The same goes for pandering for votes by the very same politicians who got us into the mess to begin with.
