Thing of it is, I don't get much work anymore. Two reasons I'm told by locals.

1. It so easy to buy a new car these days, all you need is a checking acct and a job of just one year. Why worry about a car repair if we can buy new, some say.

2. The repair shop gives credit, if your born and raised here ( wich most are ) you can pay on a tab .. most of the time without having to sign a thing .. unless your not in their click. I was born in Savannah Ga, btw, and cannot offer credit due to lack of funds since my family didn't own & pass down any family onwed businesses.

Myself, I cannot see any point in living in an apartment thats based on income or live with mom and dad half a lifetime .. 'just' to afford a new automobile without a better job. I much better enjoy driving my old shit and having a private place to call my own, and not having to eat those ramen noodles. I have no money to go out and spend until the last land payment is made, but am happy on this little farmy driving my clunkers & watching our kids fart around with their atv's and horses. In the end, the memories are worth more than a new car to me. My son drives a nicer old truck than mine, but he made every payment on it at 16.
