I'll tell you one thing, Dave. Setting up a disaster in the making like Freddie and Fannie probably would never even cross their minds. The responsibility for the financial shell game that resulted from it needs to be placed on the banking industry but the fed knowingly set the table for it to happen. They also turned a blind eye many, many years before the shite hit the windmill.
