Finn - when you take a quote out of context and put your own spin on it, you can make anyone sound ignorant. By "silence", her quote was an observation that some organizations/individuals fear the reprisals that have been visited on her, Mastercard, Paypal, the Swiss government, etc. by the Wikileaks "cyber-mafia" hacker commuity. It wasn't about "media" silence.
Un-American - yes, an incorrect modifier.
"Anti" would have been a more appropriate modifier, and would be quite descriptive of the apparent mindset of Mr. Assange, as well as some on the left in our own country.
