No doubt it will play through the week. And before all the critics start...we're Catholics scrutinizing the handling of what used to be a somber, respective, family experience in the Catholic Church. Not an acadamy awards event.

A political rally??? You're kidding???
They did it with Wellstone, why should this be any different. The Donks are bad about displaying a corpse to score political points...IMHO pretty tacky, but it works for them. And I'm sure Teddy wouldn't have minded.
Did the same thing here in Missouri when "Saint Mel" was killed in an airplane crash..."he was busy doing the peoples work". And it did "work", his vidder beat Ashcroft in the election.
A little info on what really happened. Mel was leaving a fundraiser in St. Louis, on his way to another fundraiser in the Bootheel. One of his boys was flying the plane, they left during a severe thunderstorm, and his kid wrecked the plane.
Then his family sued the airplane manufacturer, claimed the "artificial horizon" wasn't working. The manufacturer settled for a little over a million to make them go away. Personally, I think if his idiot son would have had enough sense NOT to take off in a thunderstorm (I believe at night), or they had hired a pilot who knew what he was doing, St. Mel would still be around. And Ashcroft would probably still be the Senator.
Doing the peoples work my ass.
