Hope a small veer from topic can be forgiven but I was just taking a break from my Monday afternoon vacuuming and I saw a story on CNN that provoked a thought that may not be substantial enough to support a thread of its own.
They were doing, predictably enough, a biography/obituary of Jimmy Carter and came to a segment wherein he gave his opinion of his presidential successors. He said (paraphrasing) Trump was not legitimately elected in 2016 because he'd lost the popular vote and was
essentially unelectable absent Republican gerrymandering. He actually called Trump an "illegitimate president".
Gee, is CNN trying to goad the orange man-baby into saying something rude about a much-beloved former president? And will the spoiled child be able to resist taking the bait?
