Tariff as a method is inevitable largely because of China's ever increasing efficiency. However this large deportation proposed is nonesense and will be made impractical by employers. Trump’s immigration proposals operate from racist impulse and are not based on common sense economics. There are 10 million working age Americans who have voluntarily withdrawn from the workforce; immigrants are needed.

I did not claim a great economy, only that it was recovering nicely post pandemic supply chain issues which is what contributed to our inflation beginning 2021. Also there was significant price gouging going on which no one seemed to know what to do. If I as a businessperson can sit on a six month back log for a handful of years, why would I increase output? Guaranteed business at high profit margins, this is a wet dream for businesses. Unfortunately Biden got blamed as if he could have done a damn thing.
And you have been harping on their job numbers report for quite a while. Are you claiming that Biden's administration is cooking job numbers to make themselves look good and this will go unchallenged. I don't mean MAGA noise makers, but statisticians and financial analysts.

Ah, enter the tariffs which the goobers believe China will pay for like Mexico paying for the wall. No country can or will replace China in the short term as the world's supplier and doubt America wants to bring back manufacturing to our shores. Cost and labor shortages are the main impediments. So all this is lip service. Tariffs are to pay for the tax cuts, nothing to do with damaging China's economy or dominance. This is why I believe Biden had to keep the Trump tariffs in place for four years.
In the interim I predict that Trump, his cronies or worse, Vance and his cronies will rob the treasury to their hearts content and nothing can or will be done. The rest of the country will suffer including those who put them in the drivers seat.
