Trump has given every reason not to vote for him yet he is running away with the nomination and soon will have a stranglehold on the RNC.
Incumbents should not be able to get the nomination without another round of vetting because people, situations and electorate changes constantly.
But primaries are conducted by individual parties, in our case just two and they are both private entities, aka money talks.

President Biden has given many compelling reasons to vote for him again in 2024 with the preeminent reason being keeping the Presidency out of the hands of an insurrectionist.
Much of President Biden's agenda requires congressional support to enact and fund. That agenda includes reducing prescription drug costs to all Americans with an OOP cap of $2,000.
