Am I a heretic? It seems to me that I don't want the government telling me that I can't have the person I want representing me in any level of government in this country.
Although I admit we can't trust the American electorate to ever do anything right.
So what's the disapproval rating of Congress? Gallup in September says 82% of the country disapproves. It's been at least 70% for years. So we get the reaction..."THROW THEM ALL OUT!!!" And then we ask the question that tells us what kind of electorate we have...
"You want your US House Representative thrown out?"
And over 70% of Americans who disapprove of Congress respond with...
"Oh no, not my Representative...I love my representative."
This country has exactly the government it deserves.
