Dude, you need to get educated. The write-in ballot option is available to voters in forty-one states. Those states account for 484 of the total 538 electoral college votes. A candidate for US President must receive at least 270 electoral college votes in order to be elected. A write-in candidate chosen by the American voters, rather than by a political party, is therefore capable of being elected President.
