The people who want a ban
on assault weapons have to go from the ground up, play the long game. Remove the NRA's representatives from office and neuter the Federalists in the SC to start. Trying to get it done from the top down is pointless. As long as Republicans are the best investments the NRA ever made their representatives in office are more concerned with staying in office than legislating for the people that elect them we're running un circles.
