The alleged crime, I hear, is 'the government, via the FBI, colluding with big tech to quash news stories.'
1. It's alleged they colluded. Collusion is basically voluntary cooperation, isn't it? It's not like the FBI marched in and ordered stuff quashed. As long as it's voluntary, any news organization can quash all day long. And they do. Freedom of the press includes freedom from having to publish what some source wants published.
2. The phrase "news stories" is really a false label when we're talking about Russian propaganda.
