So, this is "the book" you were referring to when you stated the raid went "by the book". And yes, FBI agents are required to always be armed, and the standard issue firearm is a 9mm Glock. Same for the Secret Service.
So where in the link you posted does it specify state that automatic weapons - including what looks like an HK sub-machine gun - must be used to support the execution of a warrant?
