Reasons to think the attacker was what he seems include very convincing rage, and a willingness to expose himself to serious assault charges and considerable jail time. An 'actor' who remained in rational control of his actions would likely stop short of that step.
Any reason to think the attacker was a 'shill,' other than you find the idea comfortable?
